are usko kahin nahin jana…time waste mat kar…
.
.
This incidence happened 3 days ago, while I was having a super-early morning tea at one of the busiest travels stop-over of Vapi.
One passenger got down from bus & immediately all auto-rickshawalas came to ask him if needs the ride. However, for some odd reasons, this fellow denied to hire any auto. I thought maybe he is waiting for someone or a pre-booked cab for pick up. But no one turned up. (I think he didn’t book any)
All drivers went to their stand and were waiting for other travels to come. Suddenly, a new auto driver started coming towards this passenger for asking if he needs auto, but others, who were denied, said, “are time kharab mat kar udhar ja ke, usko nahi chahiye auto ya cab’ (he doesn’t need cab or auto).
Then, all auto-rickshawalas got busy with new flock of passengers.
After some time, this traveler felt the need for an auto. Initially he hesitated, but soon, he went to the same auto-stand & hired an auto.
I learned 2 important lessons:
1) Say yes when people are willingly asking for a help or rendering solutions. If you show an attitude or dis-interest, then people will not only stop themselves but also others from coming towards you.
2) Don’t let false definitions of self-esteem stop you from approaching & being open to re-establish the connections. Like this fellow, who went towards the same people whom he denied initially.
Life is full of learnings….
So next time, if you need help & someone asks for it then say YES immediately.
