A Classic ‘Ghoda kabhi baithega nahi” Syndrome ??
.
.
Sometimes, we give too much importance to ourselves. We stretch ourselves more than required. The result can be burnout, health issues, and stressful life.
For trainers like me, Leadership Training and OBT training can be very demanding. It squeezes the best out of you. Sometimes, it can exhaust you to a good level. So, what’s the solution.
It’s simple ‘Take a short break’.
However, it was not easy for me. as the barrier was my own mind-set. I used to think that ‘Resting during training/work was a sin’.
A classic ‘Ghoda kabhi baithta nahi’ syndrome ?? ??
This changed recently, when I tried ‘Pomodoro technique’ of resting during a training program. This technique promotes “5 min rest after 25-30 minutes of laser focus & intense work”. It was not that hard. Actually, it gave me an instant energy after the short rest.
In life, we must all take such breaks. It actually boosts productivity to a very high level.
Here is why, you must consider rest & break.
?? Rest and recharge: When you take a break, you give your brain a chance to rest and recharge. This can help you feel refreshed and rejuvenated, which can help you perform better when you return to your work.
?? Reduce stress and burnout: Constantly working without taking breaks can lead to stress and burnout. Taking regular breaks can help reduce stress levels and prevent burnout, which can ultimately improve your overall wellbeing and productivity.
?? Boost creativity: Taking a break from routine work can also help boost creativity. When you step away from your work and engage in a different activity, your brain has a chance to make new connections and generate fresh ideas.
??Improve focus and concentration: Taking regular breaks can actually help improve focus and concentration. When you work for extended periods of time without a break, you may start to lose focus and become distracted. Taking short breaks can help you refocus and come back to your work with renewed energy.
So, ‘take a break’ or ‘break’.
